Pros And Cons Of Leaving A Bomb Shelter

It was just an ordinary day at our sweet place we call home, then boom! Before we knew it the once safe and quiet society we knew was gone. There has been a bomb dropped and from what we can tell the 10 of us in this bomb shelter are the only survivors. Between the ten of us, we are a police officer (myself), a seventy-year-old minister, a laboratory scientist, a female vocalist, a pregnant hysterical woman, her husband, a famous writer, a professional athlete and a high school girl. We have one monumentally larger problem at hand, the shelter can only accommodate to seven people until it is safe to reenter the world again and start a new society. I have my personal opinion about which three people I feel should have to be sacrificed and why. Firstly, I think he makes a good candidate to leave because he has had seventy years to live his life and I feel as if he has had plenty of time to live his life, so I don’t think we should deprive someone younger of their years of life experience. Also, because he is a minister, he must have a strong belief in one specific religion, the other people in the shelter could have all kinds of variations in their beliefs and not agree with what he preaches. In the past many wars have resulted from religion, so in order to prevent another disaster from occurring, we should eliminate the minister because his religious views may be too strong. We as an assembly of people have decided we have three goals that need achievement when we get out. To establish a government, create a viable society, and repopulate. A minister is not a crucial asset to achieving any of these three
