The battle of Stalingrad was one Hitler’s biggest losses and one of World War Two’s deadliest battles.Many things contributed to the loss,as well as the deaths in a five month period.Three of the biggest factors were the amount of troops each side lost,brutal fighting,and the pros and cons for each side.

The Battle of Stalingrad resulted in tremendous losses for each side which makes it one of the deadliest battles.Over one million soviet soldiers were killed.One hundred forty-seven thousand German troops were killed.Another ninety-one thousand German troops were taken prisoner by the Soviets.Over twelve thousand German allies from Romania were also killed.Forty thousand civilians were killed during the fighting.
