Stem Cells: Good or Bad?
Today, stem cells are very controversial, but what most people don’t know, are the benefits to stem cells research. Stem cells have the capability to turn into many different types of cells in the human body during the pluripotent stage, which is the first three to five days. Consequently, some say that stem cell research is “playing god” and “messes with human life,” but stem cells are used in so many ways and in different methods that are incredible. In addition, stem cells can cure what we once thought was “incurable.” The research scientist provide is outstanding; they come up with ideas and theories most people can’t do that are a breakthrough in the medical field, which is the reason why stem cell research needs to be used.

According to Stöppler, “Stem cells represent an exciting area in medicine because of their potential to regenerate and repair damaged tissue” (“Stem Cells”). As Stöppler said, stem cells do have an amazing tendency to repair and cure the untreatable diseases some may have, because they are able to be moved to another place in the body to develop to its new surroundings. There are different ways of doing stem cell research and therapy without the use of embryos and fetuses. Adult stem cells are not capable to differentiate into different cells like embryonic stem cells can.
