I personaly think that the GatesburgGoGreen Initiative is a great idea. I think our country wastes unnecessary amounts of recyclable products. We have become a lazy nation and our environment is paying the price. If we don't start doing everything in our power to recycle and reuse now, then I'm afraid it will destory our beautiful country and all the plants, animals, and even our own lives. I can no longer be an option. It's time to give up the ease of what we are used to, and do what is right. When I was was 23 I went on a mission trip to Africa. When I arrived I was blown away by the amounts of waste. It was piled in the roads and even in the water that they drink. They would just walk over it or clear it out of the way to make paths for walking. It was effecting the health of all the citizens, but mainly the children and animals. It made me upset that they had allowed it to get so bad. But then I began to realize that they did'nt know any better, they didnt have the resources needed to recycle. These laws are strict and could be hard to follow. I believe it will take some time to get used to them and errors will be made by the people in the communities. I would propose a compliance by the GatesburgGoGreen Initiative to reconstruct these laws and rules using the advise of those that oppose them. Together I believe an agreement could be made so that these laws are easier to follow and uphold. I also understand that Americans do recycle, but it's not enough. This country could do so much more. If you take a look at our landfills and the amount of product that will not decompose in it, I believe you would agree that it's time to do more than what is being
