I had betrayed myself, threw away my shot, and let everyone down. That night I had a slept restlessly, lying in my bed pondering what had caused everything to lead up to that day. Why did I fail? How could this happen? Where would we go from here? Depending on who you asked, The United Tables of Grover was viewed either with contempt or adoration. I gave it the passion, effort, determination, and perseverance of all the founding fathers during their long debates on the purpose of government during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.

Our “country”, the United Tables of Grover, was created out of our lunch table by me and some peers to maintain and expand infection, a tag-like game, that we played at recess. The air filled with caution, fear, and anxiety that week. I would now have to fight for the preservation of our year old ideals, and lead my people.

Monday and Tuesday started the week with rallying my constituents into voting pro-preservation, making me certain of victory. That’s right, SIDDOWN KURT YOU LITTLE VAIN MAN! Confidence filled my brain as I premtively felt victory, knowing our nation belonged and I was destined to lead it, until Wednesday.

“David Koggan can’t run for president,” was the lie my ex-allies told everyone that mid-week morning. The feeling from those words still hang over me, but in that moment I had to react. Yet, what was I to do? I knew Tanishq couldn’t be President again. He was the one that ruined everything the first time. If he wins then the UTG will be led to its demise. I had to decide whether to continue my support if it means giving up my power or betray my beliefs to keep
