Metaphors in King James Bible

Metaphors are used as a way of the Arthur helping the reader to understand their points. In Bible there is one big idea that is compared to God, with him being the protector, guide, or light. In Psalm 23, Psalm 137, and Parable of the Prodigal Son the reoccurring metaphor is good and evil.
Psalm 23 the shepherd compared to the shadow of death. The shepherd leads him from the valley of death. “I will fear no evil for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”. (ppg.299). And Psalm 23 it shows you how good and evil is compared with the shepherd and valley of death. “Surely goodness all the day of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (pg. 300). In Psalm 23 it talked about how if you do good you will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23 talked about it evil take over your life you will live and the house of the devil. In conclusion good is a metaphor to evil and shows how if you go down the wrong path evil will follow.

He had a lots of friends to spend his father inheritance and he had to get the money that he spends. "And not many days after the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into far country and there wasted his substance with riotous living (pg 302). If you with wrong people bad thing will happen. If you do the right thing and listen to your parent, you will reward from god. In conclusion if you do what you want you will not make it in life but if you follow direction God will reward you.
