I choose psychologist to be my career and do a research about it. I always wanted to be a psychologist. Studying about human’s minds, behaviors is really interesting, and learning about other people can also help me learn more about myself. The other reason is psychology can practically be using anywhere, all kind of jobs, and it is good for me to have a bit of a psychology background, so that it somehow can help with my future job. A psychologist is a professional who evaluates and studies behavior by observing, interpreting, and recording how people relate to one another and the environment. They help to ensure the health and well-being of all people: individuals, families, groups, and society as a whole. Psychologists typically do:
- Conduct scientific studies of behavior and brain function
- Collect information through observations, interviews, surveys, and other methods
- Test for patterns that will help them understand and predict behavior
- Gather information and evaluate behavior through controlled laboratory experiments
- Collaborate with physicians or social workers to help treat patients
- Interact with clients to assist them and discuss the treatment of problems.
There are many different types of psychologists, they typically need a doctoral degree or specialist degree in psychology, a master’s degree is sufficient for most positions.
