“One of the perks to being a psychologist is access to tools that allow you to carry out the

injunction to know thyself” (“Steven Prinker”). This quote was said by Steven Prinker stating

you must know yourself to be able to understand others. Being a psychologist will not only let

you understand others, but help understand yourself better as well.Pursuing in a psychiatric

career would be perfect for anyone who enjoys helping and working with others, is ideal for

someone who wants a new and different challenge every day, and provides a great salary and

benefits.

Working and helping others of all ages would be a wonderful advantage when working as

Being a psychologist , one communicates with others to find what’s best for the others

Not only is one able to help others, there will also be a new and different challenge every

day. Providing assistance in different ways and in tasks will be an everyday activity. Psychiatric

help takes place in many areas. The work could be in a mental hospital, nursing homes< prison<

or just a regular psychiatric center. The different tasks will vary depending on where you work.

ENcouraging patients can be a challenge sometimes, this will happen frequently. Some patients

are more insecure, aggressive, sensitive ,etc. than others. While doing these tasks you keep

records of all appointments and medical history as well. Psychologists must document every

appointment and medical history detail that belongs to that patient (“Generalized Work

A great salary and benefits is the final advantage to being a psychologist. A low paid

worker would be paid about $33.31 per hour or more. Psychologists are very well payed. A

benefit of this a career is that approximately 160,200 jobs are available each year. It will
