This assignment was about creating a prototype or idea that will help Kaho'olawe big problem. This project was a whole quarter project, two months. We needed to first create a prototype, make the prototype, test the prototype and make a final presentation of the results. This assignment requires self-directional skills because it was a two-month-long project and it was important to have my own goal schedule. If I fell behind in one goal for the week, I will fall behind in the entire project and it'll fall apart. I'm really proud of this assignment because my powerpoint turned out amazing and that I didn't have to rush to finish it. I did each slid/step per day. This decreased the amount of stress. This was difficult because while doing this project, I had other assignments. Sometimes, I would think that I could put it aside and work on other homework. Though, I would continue to work a little everyday on the assignment. If I could do something different about my assignment, I would not putting as much work as I did. If I spent less time on the assignment, I could have saved some time for the exams. I would have gotten the same grade, if I spent less time on it. This relates to what I've learned in the past is by taking the necessary steps of managing my time. Ever since I was in middle school, I would make a list/plan of everything I needed to do. This list would help me so much, if I didn't have it, my life would have been chaos. This skill relates to the future by attending college and lifelong learning. The expectation is that students will become self-directed learners as they mature and gain content knowledge. This is a skill that will truly become helpful in college in our future
