I would include department heads because it addresses their concerns of why. The professors bring in the knowledge of the program and what they students should know from the text book side. Adjunct professors bring information on what the student should know from working in that career. Graduate assistants, lab coordinators, and teaching assistants come from area where they are working directly with current students and in the classroom. That helps bring in information that the head of the department, professors and adjunct cannot see because of their position. Last but not least having recent graduates involved will allow us to see a view from the student side of things. If you combine what the provost is trying to accomplish and what the concerns are from the staff I think you will have a diverse group.

I would oversee it because of all the people that are included. Once the final project is put together I can see if it is what the provost is asking for and do a final review before it is present to the provost. We will break them down in groups. I believe breaking it down in these two areas will cover everything that provost is asking. Point 1 They are writing and the writing will help them learn. Writing to learn category is designed to have students experience what they writing can help them learn something. Point 2 Writing to have knowledge in their discipline. Writing for the disciplines helps students write professionally that they understand the purpose of their field. Doing it this way can cover a lot of areas for the student that can connect their learning to their knowledge of the degree they are seeking.
