HOLA!-HI! Puerto Rico’s culture interests me because my moms parents are both from Puerto Rico. MY grandparents were born in Puerto Rico in the 1940s and 1950s. Puerto Rico’s culture is very different than Florida’s. For example Puerto Rico has many festivals, and they eat different foods than us.in 1898 after the Spanish American war Puerto Rico was claimed U.S. Territory and many of the people immigrated from Puerto Rico to new your city. In Puerto Rico most of the people eat from food trucks or at fast foods restaurants. My family doesn’t do everything of Puerto Rico’s tradition’s but we do eat some homemade Puerto Rican food at least 1 or 2 times a week. Puerto Rico is a very beautiful place with so much to do and learn. Puerto Rico is considered a territory of the United States. The capital of Puerto Rico is San Juan, Puerto Rico while Florida’s capital is Tallahassee. Puerto Rico and Florida’s weather is mostly the same. Another holiday they celebrate Is were the little children place a bowl of water and hay under there bed before they go to bed in honor of the three kings , and then later the kids have presents to open. Puerto Rico fields there own team during the Olympics. Some major sports Puerto Rico has is baseball , basket ball , and soccer. Puerto Ricans have may foods that I eat a couple times a week like condula rice, chicken fricassee , rice , surogoes , pasteles , and platanoes. Many Puerto Ricans were the same clothes that we do.
