That isn't even including the anxiety and fear that is commonly found in a dog born in a puppy mill. However, we can stop the abuse and neglect to towards the dogs in puppy mills and give rescue dogs in shelters a home. In order to give safe lives to a man's best friend, puppy mills must be banned in all 50 states.

Puppy mills add and add to dogs without a homeless. Not only do they lessen the chance of one of their own dogs finding a home by consistantly breeding more dogs, but rescue dogs living in shelters are also gypped because these puppy mills are selling dogs to people, which is taking away from the chance of a dog innocently looking from a home in a shelter, from being adopted. According to ASPCA, 3.9 million dogs are in need of a home. That is almost four illion dogs. Puppy mills are responsible for about half those numbers. Mills breed an average of 2 million dogs in the United States says The Puppy mill project, an organization dedicated to stopping puppy mills. Wether those four million dogs are puppy mill dogs or rescue dogs, about four million can be called “homeless”. The puppy Mill project continues to say,“shelters are forced to put down three million dogs because there aren't enough adoptive homes”. Shelters are being forced to put down dogs because there aren't enough homes for them to go to, meanwhile puppy mills breed and breed, and breed… not caring for the dogs lives.
