Pursuing High School Education In USA

My parents are working in the cultural industry. They always travel around the world due to the nature of their work. Every time when they came back from their journey, my parents would tell me the importance of being knowledgeable, well-informed and well-traveled. As a result, other than having many opportunities to travel with my parents, starting from 8-years-old, I attended summer camps hosted in various countries annually. It is my decision to pursue high school education in USA. My parents are more than willing to create a variety of opportunities for me to try and experience. At the same time, they have taught me how to be responsible and make my own decisions. When deciding on which country to study in, instead of following my mom’s wish to study in either United Kingdom or the sunny Los Angeles, I decided to attend school in the East Coast of USA. I have made up this decision based my research, comparison and personal preferences. I am fortunate enough to attend an excellent international school in Beijing. To study and live in a foreign country is challenging and I might feel homesick at the beginning. However, I believe it is the right path for me to apply for the top ranked high school in the country to further develop myself.
