In the article “Pushing Back Against a Teen Culture of Entitlement”, Mr. Gregston discusses how today’s teens sense of entitlement has grown into a problem. He claims young adults are selfish, narcissistic, and entitled. Gregston gives his own real life experience to back up his claims. He states young adult narcissism and entitlement is due to the way parents raise their children. Gregston believes parents are robbing their children of independence and personal responsibilities. He urges parents to stop giving their children everything and end their teens narcissism now.
Although Gregston gives examples to support his claims, he only uses personal examples. I believe for a claim to have any backbone, other evidence needs to be introduced other than the author’s own personal experiences. While personal experiences help to show a claim is correct, the author cannot rely on it as the only evidence they show.

Gregston blames all teens for being selfish, narcissistic, and entitled. There is a word for when a person attaches one characteristic to an entire group of people. Gregston is stereotyping teens. Are some teens entitled, selfish, and narcissistic? Absolutely. Are all teens entitled, selfish, and narcissistic? No. It is incredibly ridiculous and unfair of Gregston to claim that of teenagers. Also, entitlement is a huge problem all throughout age groups; not just teens. The author focus on teen entitlements because he has the most experience with teens. Gregston should have at least made it known that entitlement, selfishness, and narcissism is a problem in all
