(This scene is set in the valley of Elah. David set out to the battle field curious of how his brothers were doing.)

David: (Standing centre stage upright speaking with astonishment. David in traditional costume) As I stood in astonishment at this huge Philistine calling on an Israelite to take him on, I felt God calling me to uptake this challenge. (Hand movements in coordinate of bold speech) "Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God." I exclaimed. "Let no one loose heart on account to this Philistine I will go fight him."

(Pacing around in annoyance) I can't believe it, can't they see. I have been a Shepard of my fathers sheep and not once disappointed him. When a lion or a bear carried off a sheep from the flock, (point left) I went after it, (Act like your shooting a slingshot) Struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, (Grab hair) I seized it by its hair, (Act like shooting slingshot) struck it, (Drag thumb through neck) and killed it. (Shake head left and right whilst speaking) Yet nor my father or my brother or even Saul the King of the Israelites, who's armies are intimidated by this Philistine, believe I can defeat this giant.
