In the baby Veronica case was about an interracial adoption and how the father never agreed to let a non-Indian couple have the child. The child shouldn't have been taken away from the couple who could take care of her better than her unwed mother, as she thought it would be best for baby Veronica herself. The mother was an unwed and the father wasn't around to help her take care of Veronica. After she was already with the couple the father didn't approve of them because of their cultural background. Veronica’s mother thought she would be better in a different home, even though they were a different race. People see it as disrespect to a race and even tried to make a law out of it. They think putting a child of a different race or ethnicity is like abuse to that race and making a disgrace of the child. People from the other side think that the society will think it’s weird and unnecessary needed to have parents a different ethnicity or race. They think that children with unmatched parents can cause controversy in a society. Some people even want the mothers to raise the kid and make a law from the topic about adoption of a child of a different race. A group of people even tried to make a law that it was illegal to adopt a child of a different race or ethnicity.
