I chose the African American groups. Depending on the upbringing of one particular person is depending on how a person has decided to live their life. There are less African Americans that have decided to go into to politics. However there is a few that have made it in the political world. For example is our president B. Obama. Who is a very successful black man. African Americans are more populated than the Asian, Arab, and Hispanic Americans. You hear more of the African American population living in poverty than other races. Some people when they hear a black man or woman they automatically think the projects, or lower income families. Some will also think drug dealer or so on.

Racism is usually defined as views, practices and actions reflecting the belief that humanity is divided into distinct biological groups called races and that members of a certain race share certain attributes which make that group as a whole less desirable, more desirable, inferior, or superior. The people that discriminate or stereotype usually choose someone who differs from one’s self on whom to take out their frustration and aggression. They choose those who are seen as weaker or inferior to themselves.
· How do racial groups interact in contemporary America? Are interactions positive, negative, or neutral? Support your response using proper citations.
