America visibly improved on the racial injustice front following every instance of large scale social unjust, though there is still much to learn. The closed and fearful minds of the 1940's created a suitable environment for the Japanese internment to be accepted as the best course of action, though society later realized their actions were misguided. Racial slurs and hate crimes, though still prevalent, became less so when these realizations occurred.
