The controversy over the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is about the racial slurs and stereotypes of groups of people at the time. It took the illiterate and kept them that way in their own words. The African american people were illiterate and that was the way they were portrayed. People treated others of different skin tones badly even though the civil war had already ended. In modern times not only is it insulting to teachers and students but it's also censored. No one wants to read the slurs or hatred that people....our ancestors had towards those with different skin colors than ours. Some say it shouldn't even be taught in school because of the content, but how are we gonna learn if they take a book depicting our history away
