Georgia State Signal, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution describe the effects of racial tensions in Leb’s Restaurant, both visually, and article-based. The Signal discussed the author, Mike Jones, admiration for Georgia, comparing it to mundane, traditionalized cities, such as Chattanooga, Birmingham, Mobile, and “the whole state of Mississippi”.

However, his tune changed during his visit, when he was confronted with, “radical intersergationalist”, whom had a reputation for frequenting Leb’s Restaurant so often, the author acknowledged it as, “......becoming the traditional spot for racial wrangles”.
