Racism is a concept that categorizes one race as intrinsically superior or better than another. There are many types of racism, including institutional, environmental, and the most common type, individual racism. Some people think racism is only seen in forms like Hitler or the Kul Klux Klan, but we might not want to deny that racism has taken a new form. This form is noticed by almost everyone but most choose to deny it. Racism is a major problem that affect every day because you can see it in daily life through wage gaps, the criminal justice system, and the media.
In America, White men make more money than Black men. According Freak comics Azure Gilman who is a media reporter says racial discrimination accounts for one third of the wage difference. Also, if a White man commits a crime, people will not associate the crime with all White people. However, if a black or brown person commits a crime, people see this as every black or brown person capable of the same thing. According to Lisa Bloom who is an American civil rights attorney best known as anchor of Lisa Bloom in her book Suspicious Nation, points out: while whites can and do commit a great deal of minor and major crimes, the race as whole is never tainted by those acts. However, when black violate the low, all member of the race is considered
