Racism is alive. It is alive and thriving in American culture. Racism has seeped into the core of American values and has placed a strong foothold in the American education system. Schools are over the nation have reported issues of racially ignorant policy, curriculum, and attitudes towards minorities, and California is no exception. There have been dozens of cases studies and research articles proving that racism is still a value taught or spread through Californian classrooms. This spread of racism through schools keeps an archaic form of social hierarchy immune to the changing times.
