In our society people throw the word “Racism” around a lot when it isn’t necessary or even relevant to the conversation. The dictionary definition of the word racism is “a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.” but if you so much as yell at or question what a person of another race says then you will most likely be call “racist” by your peers even if it wasn’t meant to seem like it.
In my eyes someone is “racist” if they think they are above another race and they don’t have to listen or respect what they say because their skin color is different or come from a different ethnicity. Racism is not joking with someone from a different ethnicity it is doing harm or acting above them when we are all human beings.
There are three types of racism. One of them is racial discrimination, racial discrimination is dividing society into groups not necessarily related to races and treating them according to it. Another type of racism is institutional, institutional racism according to Wikipedia can be also called as structural, state or systematic racism. It is the type of racial discrimination done by governments, companies, religious groups, or educational institutions who have the power to influence many people. The last type of racism is economic, economic racism is caused by past racism and historical reasons which affect the present generation due to the lack of formal education, without them even knowing it.
