Although playing with children by swinging their arms may seem fun it can also be harmful. Radial head subluxation is when the radius is trapped out of its correct position in the arm. Radial head subluxation is a rare, minor skeletal disorder commonly known as nursemaid’s elbow. This is most often caused from a quick or violent pull of a child’s arm. Children will show symptoms of nursemaid’s elbow by crying in pain or refusal to move the arm. Caregivers try to cure this disorder themselves but the procedure to cure it must be done by a professional. The procedures to cure this disorder aren’t as dramatic as most.
Often parents pull their child by the arm or swing them, activities like these causes the child more likely to have nursemaids
