The round table discussions were really interesting and informative. It is not very often that I get to speak too many different professionals. After completing the round table discussions, it was two speakers that stood out to me. The one that I felt like I can relate to and network with was a physical therapist. Her name is RaeLea Moore. The organization she works for is called Gilead Healing Center. The speaker’s position is to help patients that has been injured or ill improve their physical abilities. The main thing that interested me about the speaker is how she talked her about job. I could tell her from her energy that she really loves her job. She talked about how much joy it brings her when she sees her patients succeeded and accomplish their goals.…show more content… I also sometimes second guess if I'm picking the right career or not for myself. I learned that the speaker’s career path was not perfect. She changed her major a few times and went back to college to get different degrees. She even said that she felt like she wasted her first couple of college years. I felt the same way about the beginning of my college career. When I spoke with her one on one, she said it is perfectly normally to feel that way. I told her that I often forget sometimes that I am still young and sometime it takes trial and error. Ms. Moore also gave me great advice about volunteering and shadowing job. She actually said that she will talk to some of her nursing friends so I can network with them. Just by having a conversation with RaeLea Moore, I was able to make connections and gain vital information. Overall, I really enjoyed speaking with ReaLea
