Safe driving is an issue that should be enforced. That especially goes for teenage drivers. But raising the minimum driving age to 18 will only cause problems for younger people who need to transport themselves. If an 18 year old has as much driving experience than a 16 year old than the 18 year old would have more trouble concentrating because at 18 life starts to change for a person so they would be more worried and impatient than a 16 year old. But if the 18 year old was an experienced driver then the 18 year old would know how to not let things like college or graduation distract them while they are driving. They wouldn't have to worry about the money they spent by not being able drive at 16 if the age was raised at 18. By not being able to drive the 16 year olds would have to find other ways to transport themselves to the places they want to go and probably spend money while doing it. For example, if they want to go to the library then they would have to take a taxi or bus and pay the fare with money that could be used for something important. After a while of transporting like that the money stacks up and it is going to end up as a big expense. But if that 16 year old could drive themselves then they would save a lot of money. Another example could be if they needed to walk to their job and their job is far away, then they wouldn't be able to perform as well if they drove there because they are tired by time
