Should Music Be Banned that Glorify Violent and Criminal Lifestyles?

1. Rap Music tends to contain more violence.

This kind of music display women as nasty sex toys that have no genuine value. It’s made to sound like women are just disposable pieces of trash that someone would through away after one use. Women are human beings just as much as these song writers are. Snoop Doggy Dog produced a song that gave multiple negative messages towards women. Some lyrics go like, “I have no love for hoes, that’s something that I’ve learned in the past, so am I supposed to pay this hoe, just the latest hoe, I know the p***** mine, so I’m gonna f*** a couple more times, and then I’m through with it, there’s nothing else to do with it.” (Giovacchini par.9). This is contributing to the devaluing the value of women. These lyrics are just talking about using women for sex, and then just moving on. Women do not deserve to be treated this way. No one does. People in general need to show respect, because this so called “good” music is not helping (Giovacchini par.
