Talent, Skepticism, and Poverty Two books, A Rasin in the Sun, and Homeless to Harvard have many similarities, but they also have their differences. While in both books, there are stories about young girls. The two teenagers grew up in a similar neighborhood, and ha a variety of different outcomes in their lives. Beneatha, the girl from A Rasin in the Sun, grew up in a home with five members of her close family. Whereas, Liz from Homeless to Harvard, grew up in many different place, a house with her parents and sister, on the streets with her friend, in a girls home.
