Racism and race will both be concepts that will remain difficult to define and explain. Throughout time, the idea of race has remained similar to when it was first introduced in the 16th century. However, the understanding and interpretation of race over time has changed because of the deeper knowledge of historical backgrounds. Rattansi believes that, the idea of race incorporates both biological and cultural features because when people are being labelled by their specific traits such as their religion, skin color, or even nose shape.
