Ray Lewis was born in Bartow Miami on May 15 1974. His real name is Ray Jenkins. He was the oldest of five kids. He helped take care of his brothers and sisters. His dad was a large absents in his life.Throughout his childhood he seen is mom get beat. He got a deck of cards. He would flip a card and do push ups. He went through the deck once and then he would do sit ups.
He did not always play linebacker in his high school. He played in several different positions. He played a lot of cornor in high school and some safety.
Miami University in 1993.He was about to be another failed academic recruit by Miami but they dropped someone else so they recruited him. He didn’t get to play that much at first in college till the starting linebacker hurt his knee. Then he told himself it's time to show the real Ray Lewis. Then he made 12 tackles and 4 sacks in the first three college games. He became the starter for the inside linebacker. He was the middle linebacker of the year. He joined the 1996 drafts and was in the first round for the Baltimore ravens. He played all 17 years of pro bowl with the Baltimore ravens. Ray Lewis played his first super bowl in 2000 season.

He told his limousine driver to drive. When they got back to the hotel he was staying at he noticed that his limousine was hit with nine bullets. The next morning he turned on the news. The news said they were looking for a black limousine for a double murder. Ray Lewis said he didn’t know his to codefendants. He spent 11 days in jail before he struck a plea bargain. He had to testify against his 2 friends. They were acquitted. In return the murder and aggravated assault charges were dropped. He just got charged with obstruction of justice. In the end of this all He had to do one year on probation. When he went back to the NFL he had to pay 250,000 dollars for the 2000
