Hello Professor Byrd and Fellow Class Mates,

I am looking forward to meeting all of you through this online course.
Over the next four years my educational goals are to strive to obtain the best possible grades in the courses I am taking, and complete all prerequisite work so that I can apply and, hopefully, be accepted into the RCGC Nursing Program. Upon successful completion of the nursing program my goal is to start working as a Registered Nurse and continue my education further to obtain my BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Upon graduating high school almost ten years ago, I attended one year of college to work toward my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. However, life took me in a different direction. My plans of action to accomplish the educational and professional goals that I have set for myself are to use time management to help me balance the demands of school, work, and life in general, and to surround myself with people who support my goals, have similar career goals, or are in the field that I wish to be in. I have several family members that are friends of Registered Nurses along with friends of my own who are nursing students, which have been a great deal of help to me. They have been able to give me advice on what to expect going into a nursing program such as what will be expected of me as a student, what a clinical experience would be like, possible things to study and practice ahead of time, along with study, note taking, and organizational tips so that I get the most out of both my class and study time, as well as advice from those already in the field, on what life as a Registered Nurse will be like upon
