Re-Mapping Africa

Kenya - Into mid-2011, the world’s worst food crisis is being felt in East Africa, in Somalia and Kenya. Kenya has been moved to the north-west coast of Africa to receive more efficient international support.
Ghana - Known for its gold in colonial times, Ghana remains one of the world's top gold producers and second largest producer of gold in Africa. Ghana also has twice the per capita output than many other countries in Africa. The location stays the same.
Ethiopia – Eritrea and Ethiopia (adjacent countries) were at war from May 1998 to June 2000. Since they are adjacent countries with tension, to prevent future conflicts, Ethiopia and Eritrea have been moved to opposite ends of Africa.

Democratic Republic of the Congo - There have been a number of complex reasons, including conflicts over basic resources such as water, access and control over rich minerals and other resources and various political agendas. To receive better aid, and easier access to water, the Congo has been moved to the northern coast of Africa.
Uganda – Uganda is one of the most poor countries in Africa. Located at the center of Africa, It's difficult to receive aid from external countries/continents. Uganda has been moved to the west coast of Africa.
Nigeria – The petroleum industry in Nigeria is the largest industry and main generator of GDP in the West African nation which is also the continent's most populous. Nigeria thriving well on it's oil industry so moving this country would not be a good idea. The location stays the same.
Egypt – Egypt has fairly positive relations with most of Africa, and their economy has steadily been rising. Due to their successes, Egypt has been moved to central Africa, hopefully to have a domino effect on the rest of Africa.
Sudan – Sudan is the most dry country in Africa! For the sake of fertile land, It has been moved near open water.
Sierra Leone – Sierra Leone has long had conflict with the bartering of diamonds native in their lands. Carelessly using children to endlessly mine for “blood diamonds”, Sierra Leone is completely moved away from their diamond resources.
