I am currently reading the book, Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight, and I am on page 201. The search for answers is still happening, and it seems like there is more questions being found than answered. I am going to be questioning, predicting and visualizing.
What is happening to Amelia’s life now that she joined the magpies? What has Sylvia’s new boyfriend been doing with the Maggie’s? Amelia has changed a lot since being part of the magpies; sneaking around, lying to her best friend, and not telling her mom anything. The worst part about her mom not knowing anything, is that when she finds something interesting about Amelia, some interesting pictures on a blog website. One day Amelia had gotten a text telling her she has a new…show more content… I predict that Kate is soon going to look for more information on Amelia’s outside life. Finding those pictures was too much to handle for Kate, and she did not want to look at them again, but I have a feeling that later on she is going to go look on that website to find out what happened when she wasn’t around. Looking for more pictures and finding out what she is doing on her social media, hoping she doesn’t have any more like this. It is such a painful moment to find those pictures of your own daughter on the Internet and having hundreds, thousand of people looking at them and “liking” them. Kate is going to look even deeper into Amelia’s social media, texts, and emails to find out what her daughter is really doing. She Is going to look on her Facebook and find all of her “trying to be artsy”, posts, look at her twitter, which we no nothing about yet but I have a feeling that it is going to be like her Facebook. Amelia emails quite a lot, and I have a feeling that her little game, and hazing has impacted some messages sent and Kate will find them and feel that impact. Knowing that your daughter is doing these things is not always the greatest feeling, but doing this is going to help her because I believe that she is going to somehow, through the pictures, emails and messages, that Amelia was part of the Magpies.
