John Frusciante

John was born on March 5th 1970 in New York City, United States.

John's first musical interest was Jimi Hendrix, when he was age 10 he claimed that whenever he went to a guitar store everybody thought he was awesome because he could play a bunch of Hendrix songs.

Before John joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers they were his favourite band at the time, imagine becoming lead guitarist of your favourite band!

The genre of music Frusciante is most famous for is what he played with the red hot chili peppers. The chili peppers are kind of mix of all sorts of genres, rock/alternative/hip hop/rap/jazz. But they would probably be mainly classified as alternative rock so i suppose that would be the genre he's most known for. However John has his own very unique style, he plays with a nice clean sound on high treble which is very similar to Jimi Hendrix, but it has its own sound.
