Rednecks and hillbillies are both interesting groups of people but the southern redneck is a much sloppier and more aggressive person than the quiet hillbilly. Both enjoy their lifestyles and love what they do. The differences between the redneck and hillbilly is not only where they live but the way they act and their own lifestyles. The southern redneck is always involved in his sporting events, but the hillbilly is not into any such activities. The redneck is always tuned into the local NASCAR channel rooting on their favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. While they enjoy the race, they get drunk on their favorite alcoholic beverage and later have to watch the highlights to see how Gordon did. The hillbilly engages only in activities that benefits himself or his family. The redneck is generally a brassy, outspoken individual while the hillbilly is quite a humble individual. When a redneck goes to the store, it turns into an all day event, because he talks to all of his cousins. The quiet hillbilly does not have to speak to anyone when he goes to the store. The only time a hillbilly tells a story is around the dinner table at Christmas when his Uncle Bubba asks him to tell him one.
