Reflection On My Writing

From the beginning till the end of the semester, I have changed my perspective on writing. My greatest weakness in writing was not having a clear topic to write about and this would then leave me writing “fluff” and painfully trying to reach the minimum amount of pages required by the instructors. By having a clear topic, I am able to get my point across in a clear and concise manner. I had to dig deeper into what I really wanted to write about. I had to find the real solution to the question I am trying to answer. And when I think I found it, I have to dig a little deeper and see if there are more significant answers to my question because now I understand that sometimes there is not a clear and single defined answer. By taking another perspective, I learned to look through different lenses. Not only was this beneficial with my writing but I began to enjoy what I was writing. If I was enjoying my writing, then I would know that others who read it would enjoy it too. I learned that writing does not have to have a guideline and it can be as creative as you want it to be. Sometimes my sentences can be short and choppy. I learned to explain my ideas efficiently and elongate them coherently. These sentences wouldn’t only contain my ideas, but they would also be written with purpose and not just useless information that does not give anything beneficial to my paper. The organization of my papers is more logical than what they used to be. I know how to bring in other authors opinions but still keep the original conversation by me. Also I learned that my thesis could change with time as I am writing my paper. It does not have to stay the same because as I get more sources and knowledge about the topic I can further explain and change my reason for writing the
