Reflection On My Writing Process

Towards the middle of the semester I had written my previous self reflection and it’s safe to say that not much has changed. Not much time has passed for me to notice an enormous change in my writing. Although, I do believe that I am slowly improving on my writing process. I used to not even make an outline for myself but now I find it difficult not to. I have made quite a few changes in my writing since I started this course and have goals for what I would like my writing to be in the future. My writing process has changed significantly since I started this course. I have been creating outlines for myself and actually brainstorming ideas to write about. My whole pre-writing process has changed since I started this course. I used to write spontaneously without any sort of structure but now I take more time coming up with an introduction, main points and the conclusion. There are things that I have been wanting to do such as receiving feedback from my peers but haven’t done. Iv’e always been a shy person and the thought of somebody else other than my teacher reading what I write has always scared me. I choose to take an online english class because I don’t personally know or see anybody. It’s comforting hiding behind my computer where my peers can’t put a face to a writing piece. I have been wanting to get out of my comfort zone and I feel like this class helped by doing the peer reviews even though it’s online. This makes it easier for people like me to receive the feedback they need from peers. Another thing that I know I need to improve on is citing my sources. When I cite a source I usually just use websites such as EasyBib or Citation Machine. The problem is that after I cite my source I don’t double check to see if it is in the correct
