The MLK Convocation was an event that I was very much looking forward to attending, despite it being advised to attend for almost all of my courses. The discussion on race is one that I feel very strongly about and I spend a lot of time discussing it in my sociology classes. As the chapel began to fill, I couldn’t wait for the event to begin. I was unsure of the discussions that were going to be taking place but I was very excited to hear Rosa Clemente give the keynote.
