The film Through Deaf Eyes is a wonderful film that I believe everyone should watch in their life time. It shows both historical and more recent aspects of the deaf world. The film is very informative, and made authentic and genuine by the people in it who share their stories and experiences. I learned that it has been a very tough history for deaf people, and that deaf culture and community is important to those who are deaf. The film seems to reflect my feelings of being an outsider and wanting to be accepted for who I am. Throughout the history of the deaf community, they have helped each other in many ways.
