Reflective Essay: My Writing In High School

In high school, I had to write a few essays. But they were not as long or detailed as the ones I write in college. This is my second semester at COTC. Prior to me starting school again I had not written an essay in 4 years. Between work and school I am had been writing a lot more then I usually done. I honestly feel like I have minimal writing skills. I want to learn and become a strong writer. When I was younger I wanted to be an author, but I just could not put everything in my head on paper. I think it because I have crafted my writing skills. I cannot wait to finally be able to do that. My writing skills have definitely progressed since high school. But I am slowly starting to realize that I will. I currently work in the hospital; and we use email a lot. I need to keep developing my writing skills; so I do not sound unprofessional to my bosses or colleagues. There could be an instance where I would have to write to someone who I have not met yet. And I do not want to come off uneducated or unprofessional. I take 2 online classes; and email is a big part of that. Also in my career I would be writing to my colleagues and my patient. I would not want my patients to feel like I cannot do my job because of poor writing skills. Writing is an important skill and that should be used as much as possible. One would never know when it would come in handy or if it would be used in a future job. What I learned after high is to constantly write proper and use the lessons you were taught and write properly. Because you might end up forgetting important keys writing skills you will need down the line. I am excited to keep developing my writing. I hope this class would help me put my words on paper and it conveys what I want the readers to understand and feel. Hopefully we can work together to completion that in this short amount of
