An Attorney’s Fall and Rise The film Regarding Henry follows attorney Henry Turner’s t turmoil life after he is shot and suffers permanent brain damage. Henry’s family and coworkers struggle with Henry as he recovers from his injury. As everyone’s life takes a dramatic turn, they all learn to live with their new lives as best as they can. Henry’s wounds from the convenience store robbery are severe. The headshot wound affects Henry’s frontal lobe, and the other gunshot wound in the subclavian vein ensures excessive bleeding which results in anoxia. In the beginning, after Henry wakes up, he cannot walk or speak; Henry’s wife Sarah is told that he may never be able to again. Henry is portrayed by Harrison Ford as a strict, impatient man before his life-altering injuries. Three incidents that show Henry’s drastic change in personality are his regards toward the dining room table, how he views his work, and when his daughter spills her drink. Henry orders a dining room table that looks like a tortoise shell on top. He is annoyed with the delivery and expresses it to the people on the phone before the verdict of his case is announced. When Henry returns home from convalescence, he compliments the table’s presence in the home. After his victory in the trial, Henry toasts the plaintiff by name with the intent to thank him for being an alcoholic, making the case a sure win for the defense. Later as Henry goes through his past case files, he learns they lied about the plaintiff’s testimony being false. Guiltily, he returns to the plaintiff and his caretaker to tell them the truth and give them the file; as he quits his job, his employer is told that the plaintiff’s lawyer was on the phone. Furthermore, when Rachel is first introduced, Henry scolds her for taking her drink out of the kitchen and spilling it on his piano. During a dinner with Sarah and Rachel, Rachel knocks over her drink and promptly apologizes to her father.
