BACKGROUND
Total Rehab centre is a non-profitable community based organization that carries its operations in Nairobi- Kasarani area with focus on enhancing the welfare of disabled children especially on children with cerebral palsy condition and other children with mental disabilities to achieve their optima lndependence as they are integrated into the society.
The organization has been working with a team of special needs professionals as part of its main strategy in accomplishing its goals, an example, physio therapists who massage the children who cannot move at all.
Mission: To empower disabled children to optimal performance in their daily activities through provision of quality care and rehabilitation services.
Vision: To be a leading rehabilitationon centre that empowers disabled children with necessary skills and knowledge that will enhance their quality of life.

FEELINGS
I must admit this community service experience has been such a rewarding one. With a lot of options to pick from, I decided to pick an area that involved helping children. And settled for the total rehab children centre. I had a gut feeling this was going to be a great choice, but had no idea how greatly it was going to impact my life. I am going to miss those hugs when I travel back home. Whenever they needed help with their work or to button their shirts they would come ask for help with whatever it is they needed. I felt good about the place, however initially I had my doubts about doing community service here because I have an impatient nature especially when it comes to children. I felt it was going to be a great challenge being around so many children for so long. But glad to say it all worked out just
