The colonist and the Native americans had very complicated relations through 1607 to 1763 and throughout time. Sometimes colonists and natives had positive relations that benefitted both sides, while other times relations were tense and led to conflict. As time went on and the colonies became more powerful, relations with the native americans worsened.
