The movie named Walking Across Egypt was one of inspiring virtues and heart warming relationships. It reminds the audience that there truly is good in everyone and one must be kind to those less fortunate. The movie takes place a western setting, for most characters have what seems to be a western accent. The main character is a devoted christian that goes to church on a regular basis. Most of the character are older or adults as in Mattie Rigsbee, Lamar N. Benfield, and Sheriff Tillman. The younger characters come from a juvenile detention, thus Wesley Benfield (one of the main characters and Lamar's nephew) is first introduced within this prison. Not only is movie enthralling it also has symbolism and many hidden messages. An example of this is the gun that Wesley stole. When Wesley escaped the juvenile camp he took specially care to steal a gun from one of his enemies. At this point the gun represented his stealing instincts and bad behavior. However, after staying with Mattie Rigsbee for a short time in fright she throws the gun into the lake behind her house. While this action is one of precaution it also signals that change will come to Wesley's behavior and that he gained a chance in redeeming himself. Thus, the gun is one of the many symbolic objects hidden within this movie. Walking Across Egypt has an engaging story, nonetheless the beginning is very uneventful. One has to wait for almost half the movie for the action to start, however the ending is very heartwarming and rewarding. Therefore, for those who have time and enjoy slow plots that build up to a climax this movie will be worth the time. However, for those who relish action film this movie may be a tad dull and tedious. Yet, it does have a great ending and is a fantastic movie for those who believe in that there is good in all
