Coming to the New World was a dream come for many emigrants. They each had their own idea of what that dream was. While some desired riches and a better life, others simply craved religious freedom. However, many of the colonies had their own ideas or limitations of exactly what religious freedom meant. In 1632, George Calvert was granted 10 million acres of land currently known as Maryland.
