Remember the Titans How many people like sports with good life lessons? Remember the Titans is a movie about a football team who had major problems of racism because the white coach got replaced by a black coach. The football players had to learn to get along because the coaches told them it is part of life, and they had to get along. This movie is a good, genuine movie that has racism coming together, a team becoming a family, and what giving up does to you, and others around you. In this movie there is a major issue about racism, and how people treated each other. It all started when Coach Yoast got replaced by Coach Boone, and many of the white race thought it was wrong for him to be replaced by a black man. Some players mad, and some …show more content…
Coach Boone had every football player up at about 4:30 am to go run many miles almost every morning. Players complained, slowed down, walked, etc but the individualism got out of the minds of the players, and the team came into effect. The players later found out that all of the team being there for the games, and through the difficult practices lead to a successful team. By the end of the season, the team was so inseparable they began winning and making it far in football. Gerry got in a car accident before the last game of the season, and it made the team and coaches play for Gerry. At that point, the team knew now that it wasn’t all about the game, but the purpose why the team is playing. Every player feeling like they weren’t smart enough for college, not good enough, and not having any money made them feel like it was impossible for them to achieve what they had dreamed off. After having the Titans season made everyone of the players go to college, finished college, or kept playing football to have a successful life. The coaches and players saw how going through all the obstacles, and staying strong about it for each other makes a enjoyable
