Had anyone ever imagine the life, when a person forcibly removed from their homeland in a thousand mile away. On May 26, 1830 the Indian Removal Act was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson, which was the case of the Native America.The main goal of the Indian Removal Act was to move the Cherokees, Creeks, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole to reservations in Oklahoma and other places in the west. These were called “The Civilised Tribes”.The people (colonist) wanted ownership of the land that had been settled by the Native Americans which American can use to grow cotton.The indian removal act affected Native Americans because when people were migrating to another place, a lot of people were died. Native Americans migrated to west by force which was known as “Trail of Tears” because Native American people were in pain , they had to face abrasive circumstance like hunger, disease exhaustion, and also most of people were died. Moreover there were various methods individual and local, state, and federal governments used to accomplish Indian removal Act.
Seminole, Creek, Cherokee, Choctaw, and Chickasaw were some tribes, which went peacefully along the trail of tears, but others were more determined to stay where they were. The original plan to get rid of the Native Americans was to have them start living an agricultural lifestyle, so they'd become economically independent on trading with white Americans. They would end up trading land that they wouldn't have normally traded because they were so economically dependent on trading.
