Did you know that one hundred percent of the people who are reading this will die? One out of every 25 will die from unnatural causes. People in life or death situations should be held accountable for their actions because if you are doing stupid things and need to be rescued, they should have to pay for their rescue. But still, the last thing they should have to do is pay the rescue bill.
In the story ‘’The Cost of Survival” by Theo Tucker “It's easy to argue to stop people from putting themselves in danger. But this would be Impossible to enforce.” (Tucker 100)Because you will always have people that don’t care about the new rules or laws and still willingly put themselves in danger.Which will usually result in a rescue being carried out. And this is a problem because if someone did something stupid and needed to be rescued it could have been prevented so the rescuers could rescue someone that did not put themselves in danger can be rescued. The problem here is still you made a dumb decision you should always plan for the worst when you are going to be hiking, boating or anything else you always should plan for the worst. In conclusion, people should be held accountable for their actions because if you are willing to make a stupid dangerous choice you should be willing to pay the price when you are rescued.
