Rene Descartes "Second Meditation of the Nature of the Human Mind." questions whether the mind is better than the body, and whether the reasoning of things should come from the senses, imagination, or our rational minds. He proposes the Wax Argument, which tests whether what he saw is wax. His method explored the senses and then explored the rational thinking of the Wax Argument.
Since he had a face, hands, arms etc. and everything considered to be flesh, this is his body. In the Wax Argument, once he came to the conclusion that the substance wasn't Wax, he concluded that the senses are not substantial reasoning to believe anything.
