Renee Chang, 13, knew she could make the seven painful, heart-tearing hours of school, six throbbing, arduous class periods, and two laborious, homework assignments, but did she know how enfeeble it was to sit for a whole day at school? It did not matter if she was going to have to run a marathon to get her blood flowing to her legs again, but no matter what, her limbs were about to become anesthetized and numb at that very moment. Although, she had an empty water bottle in front of her that she could so easily stand and go “fill” up, so she could at least get a little walk in before her limbs were dragging behind her, she chose to have the tingling sensation terrorize her because of what might happen. While thinking about going home and doing jumping jacks to ridden the feeling of leaning over and having her legs give out, the bell rang and she leaped to her last period, where the process repeated once more until she finally had freedom to walk. …show more content…
Teachers are able to stand and walk around to teach the students, which is much healthier than having to sit for six hours day. If Chang stood up to do anything to demolish the feeling of her legs, multiple things could happen. The teacher in the classroom could likely get upset or stop teaching the whole class and exclaim, “Why aren’t you focused on your work, you have to ask to throw away your trash, or go use the restroom.” These two lines are a generalization of what multiple teachers say more than 10 times a week, definitely not a
